Fedora Core 4

JFourJFour Member
Just a quick question:

Will the Fedora Core 3 ICE runtime distribution run on Fedora Core 4?
If not, when will a Fedora Core 4 compatible release be available?

Thanks.

We haven't tried FC4 yet, so we don't know. The next release of Ice will support FC4.

Note that FC4 ships with GCC 4.0 which has a bug preventing Ice to compile out of the box :(. This bug was fixed and will be included in GCC 4.0.1 but until it's released, your only option to compile Ice will either be to use GCC 3.4.x or the GCC 4 mainline.

    Benoit.
