Ice Training Course

ZeroC is pleased to announce a new training course on Ice for C++. The course will extend over three days, to be held in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, November 16-18 2005.

The course provides a solid grounding in programming with Ice, covering the Ice object model, Slice definition language, C++ language mapping, object life cycle, threading, and a number of server implementation techniques for a variety of application requirements. Around 30% of the course consists of hands-on programming exercises that apply the course material in the context of a fully-working application. After completion of the course, attendees will be proficient in programming in the Ice environment and will be able to design and implement complex real-life applications.

Course attendees must bring a laptop with Windows XP and Visual C++ 7.1 installed to be able to do the programming exercises. The laptop must have a wireless network interface (802.11b or 802.11g).

Space is limited to a maximum of twenty participants. Course fee is $1,650 per participant. Please contact training@zeroc.com to secure your booking.

As well as offering open-enrollment courses, ZeroC can also provide training for Ice for C++ or Java at customer premises. Please contact training@zeroc.com for details.
