A question about Ice connection

laoteelaotee Member ✭✭
hi,
If I set up the WindowsXP firewall in my computer, the ICE server can not connect the ICE client. And there are two pieces of network cards in a machine, the ICE server can not connect the ICE client.

Thanks a lot.

Sounds like the firewall is getting in the way. What exactly is your question?

Does the ICE connection not be through the Windows firewall?
Is the ICE connection not conected when there are two pieces of network cards in a machine?

Ice doesn't automatically negotiate with the windows firewall, so you'll need to tell it to open a hole if necessary.

As long as TCP/IP is configured correctly then two network cards are no problem.

If you are running a server you need to ensure that you are binding to the correct network card. You can run with tracing to find out what endpoints the server is binding.
