Using Ice to support a distributed computing framework
Hi,
As a CS PhD student, I am currently developing NGrid a open source distributed programming framework (see http://ngrid.sourceforge.net).
I am fairly new with the Ice middleware. I am seeking some middleware to handle the deployement of the assemblies, grid monitoring, of NGrid.
I would like to know if
* Ice is suited as a base layer to develop a grid computing framework (with its own interprocess comminications) on top of it.
* Ice supports 'mono' the cross-platform implementation of .Net.
Thanks in advance,
Joannes
