IceGrid registry communications clarification

Hi,

The documentation was not clear to me about how many connections are performed by nodes when they register.

If there is one master IceGrid registry and two slave replicas and the Ice.Default.Locator of a node contains the proxies for all three of the above will the node connect to all three registries or will it connect first to the master and let the master pass on the information to the slaves? If this master is not there I suppose it would connect to all the slaves.

Hi,

The IceGrid nodes always connect to all the slaves regardless of the status of the master. For more information on IceGrid replication, you might also want to check the issue #21 of the Ice connections newletter.
