Set Logging Level
Hi
We have a java server using ICE 3.6.4 and C# .Net client. We have some latency in message transport from server to client.
As an initial step we want to get the ICE logs and understand the message transport

Hi,
You can enable network and protocol tracing for this purpose. See the following link in the Ice manual for information on these tracing properties: https://doc.zeroc.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=18256247#Ice.Trace.*-Ice.Trace.Network
Properties can either be set programmatically, provided in a configuration file or on the command line, see https://doc.zeroc.com/display/Ice37/Properties+and+Configuration for additional information.

Hi Benoit,
your advice worked but I don't see any traces of the time taken for compression and decompression of message when the compression flag is set for client and server.
Can you let me know if that is possible, if yes how ?

Hi,
Sorry, it's not possible to get the time taken by compression/decompression. Could you just run your client with and without compression to compare the timings?
