We are pleased to announce that Digium, the innovative force behind the open source telephony platform Asterisk, selected ZeroC's Internet Communications Engine for the new Asterisk SCF project, the world's first high performance, distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant, open source communications framework.
Asterisk SCF's API is entirely defined using Ice's specification language (Slice). This is a very exciting development for the open source community, and we're delighted to be a part of this project.
