A serious bug was found in the Ice Visual Studio Add-in that can cause accidental data loss and affects versions 3.5.0 and 3.4.2.1.
The issue involves the output directory that a project designates for storing Slice-generated files. When you change the project settings to use a different output directory, the add-in examines the old directory and removes it if it is empty. Unfortunately, the add-in only considered the old directory to be empty if it contained no files, regardless of whether it contained any subdirectories.
We strongly recommend that your designated output directory only be used for storing generated files.
Users of versions 3.5.0 and 3.4.2.1 of the Ice Visual Studio Add-in should install the appropriate update immediately.
