Ice 3.6 beta released

We are pleased to announce the availability of the Internet Communications Engine (Ice), version 3.6 beta.

Ice 3.6 will introduce many new features, and we want to give you an opportunity to try them out before the Ice 3.6.0 release. Your feedback on this beta release is very important to us. If you have already built an application with Ice, you could try to upgrade it to use Ice 3.6b. Please post suggestions, questions, and bug reports here on the ZeroC forums.

The following new features may be of particular interest to you:
  • JavaScript mapping
  • WebSocket transport
  • Service discovery via UDP multicast
  • Custom load balancing for IceGrid
  • Invocation timeouts
Ice 3.6b supports the latest platforms and compilers, including Windows 8.1, Windows RT, OS X Yosemite, Visual Studio 2013, Xcode 6.1, Java 8, Android Lollipop, Ruby 2, and more.
