General IceStorm questions

After publisher/subscriber links are set up in IceStorm and data starts to flow, I think the manual implies that all data goes though a separate IceStorm server service and that service then distributes the data. Is this correct? (As opposed to IceStorm just setting up the proxy links and then letting the data flow between the proxy publisher and subscriber without IceStorm brokering the data...)

    Correct, there is no direct communication between publishers and subsribers, everything goes through the IceStorm server.
