would you suggest an optimal C++ IDE to be used with ICE under Linux?
Thanks in advance

GNU Bash, Emacs, GDB, and command line tools. The best IDE ever

You could try Eclipse, see this post.
Emacs is nice, but Vim loads faster and has a syntax file for Slice0 -

How about a nice religious war about Emacs vs. Vi... We didn't have this for some time

IDE for ICE
Eclipse is fantastic: I was used to it only for java (and especially J2ME) development... I have discovered a lot of plugins for it, but i didn't imagine that there was already one also for ICE
thanks a lot to you all there for your quick answers, and particulary for your GREAT work!0 -

Who cares about loading speed? I start emacs when I start my computer, and never shut it down
Of course, the real question is what editing mode do you use in emacs (because clearly all intelligent computer users use emacs . My answer is the vile editing mode. Then I get the best of both world. Emacs + vi key strokes == heaven0
