problem with installation of python

I'm going to write scripts with python on Windows, using VC6 as my c++ environment.

I think downloading the ICE-3.1.0-VC60 would be correct, but it does not contain support for python, even worse, there is no slice2py executable for compiling IcePy from source!

I tried to install the versatile version: ICE-3.1.0-VC80, failed and complained about a missing DLL or whatever.

what shall I do next ?

tks in advance..

The first thing you should do is fill in your signature information (required content is described in the link contained in my signature). Next you should detail exactly what problem you get when attempting to install the VC80 distribution.
