how to Load ice.slice in PHP-Code?

I want to load an ice.slice directly in my php-code. (i.e. ini_set();)
The ice.slice file should be editable/changable over my webinterface.
Would this function?
If so, how I can do this?

parsing of Slice files is done once, when the PHP interpreter initializes the IcePHP extension.
So you could edit files but changes will not take effect until you restart the PHP interpreter, that means you will need to restart web server.
