Starting Publisher server program from IceGrid

I was able to use IceGrid to launch IceStorm for my Publisher, but it's not obvious to me how to use IceGrid to start the Publisher program itself. Is this possible?

Also, it seems to me that the Subscriber client should be able to get the needed properties from the Publisher's node, but I'm a bit lost on that, too. :-(

Is there some documentation or examples I have missed?

    Hi,

    If your publisher process can't be started on-demand because it doesn't have clients invoking on it, you can either start it manually (either with icegridadmin or the IceGridAdmin GUI) or set its activation mode to "always". See here for more information on server activation.

    Can you detail a little more what properties your subscriber needs to retrieve? I recommend checking out the demo from the demo/IceStorm/replicated directory for an IceStorm deployment example using IceGrid.
