How to group object identity?

We know that the adapter can participate a replica group.
Can the object identity participate an group?
In my product environment, some nodes for vip user channel and some nodes for none vip user channel, but I don't want o add 2 different object identify for the same servant object.

    Hi Jim,

A replica group is a group of object adapters, so, no, you can't add an object on its own in a replica group.

A single servant can incarnate multiple objects, and this is indeed common, in particular when you use a default servant.

Here it sounds like you want your object to be reachable through several endpoints (for VIP and non-VIP connections?). You could have a single object adapter with 2 endpoints configured (VIP and non-VIP) or two object adapters, each with a single endpoint, that share the same servants/objects/object identities.

    Best regards,
    Bernard

  • I've removed the well-know object in replica group, some nodes participate to non-VIP group, and some nodes participate to VIP group.

    Thank your reply bernard!
