Freeze and C#

Freeze does work for C#, I just need to compile the slice defintions to C#? Is this the same with every other Ice service?

It's not the same for Freeze.
For remote services such as IceStorm and IcePack, you don't care how the service is implemented, you just need their slice definitions compiled in your favorite programming language. Freeze is a local service: it needs to be implemented for each language.

  • Is it possible to give me an estimate when Freeze may be implemented for C#?
  • Freeze for C# is currently not on our todo list for the next release. If you have a commercial demand for a C# implementation of Freeze, please contact us at sales@zeroc.com.
